SICOMO is a web environment solution for legal compliance, audits and nonconformities management of organizations in the aviation sector. This post is going to show how SICOMO works with regulation configuration.
SICOMO allows you to evaluate each EASA regulation or other external standards such as IOSA. This is very useful because it allows you to classify the regulations and check if they affect you, require auditing or the organization complies.
You can do this configuration throught the Regulations cell if you want to configure the EASA regulations or throught the Standard/External Standard cell if you want to configure the IOSA standard.
Once here, you have to select the Regulation or Standard that you want to configure and click the edit button, then in the Pop Up window you can configurate these three sections:
On the affect section you can check if the regulation affect your organization or not. Also you can choose not to assessed.
On the audit required section you can select if your organization need to audit this Regulation or not.
On the comply section you can choose if your organization comply with the regulation or if just need partially comply.
In addition, when you configure the comply section in the Regulation cell you might see that it will turn red if you don’t have to comply, it will turn yellow if you comply partially, and it will turn green if you comply in totally. This will help you to identify quickly your own configuration at first sight.
